My oldest goest to college some 450 miles from here, yet it is still in Michigan, and he left for the fall term on Thursday. My youngest is a sophomore in high school, so I will see this in 3 years or so. Hang in there! :-

I love your teddy bear sweater sets; how cute! Mine is starting college this year but at the last minute decided to change schools and stay home, going to college in our home town. While I'm elated to have her here with me, I feel she's missing out on some exciting times and opportunities to grow. It's a different kind of bittersweet to deal with. Parenting is hard.
Karen in MNKarenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11931460214761536379noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32363968.post-49398823083165598502007-08-24T20:46:00.000-05:002007-08-24T20:46:00.000-05:00Aww! I'm making it through the day.. somehow :-) As for the sweater pattern, it is on the link for Cubs for Kids. They have patterns there for knitters and crocheters. I did the knit pattern for top down raglan sweater. Kind of vague directions.. but they worked. For the scarf, I cast on 10 stitches and stockinette for about 20 inches. The hat is a pattern that JKnits sent me from www.knitaway.blogspot.com. (She also knit a sweater set). I see several more of these in my future! In fact, I plan on getting 3 cute bears and knitting a set in each of the kids' school colors. How cute would that be??
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
JaniceJanicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05052828153310798148noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32363968.post-35927661766708502042007-08-24T13:54:00.000-05:002007-08-24T13:54:00.000-05:00Mine will be out of the nest during the next 6 ye...Mine will be out of the nest during the next 6 years too-my 15yearold probably leaving in a year...and I keep wondering:" Have I prepared him for that???"
