October 15th
How can it possibly be October 15th already? That's half way through the month that I feel just started yesterday. No wonder life just seems to be flying by!! I had a GREAT time at the retreat this past weekend. Lots of laughter. LOTS of chocolate.
This is a picture of the chocolate that was flowing Friday night. I was tempted to just take a straw and drink deeply.....
But instead I chose from the tray of strawberries; bananas; pretzels; marshmallows; vanilla wafers etc.. and dipped to my hearts content. In fact, I practiced the 12 Step Chocolate Therapy program I read about in England... and that is never to be more than 12 steps away from chocolate!!
Here is my friend Karen helping out by cutting the bananas for the tray. (Good strategy also for staying close to chocolate!!)
Sumo thinks that a chocolate fountain sounds pretty yummy! There's other things he would choose to dip, however: doggie treats; llama berries; a baby bunny; well, you get the idea!! Good thing chocolate is poison to a dog!! He won't be dipping anything in it any time soon!
One of the things we did was have everyone bring a baby picture and we tried to guess who was who. This is the picture that I brought of myself. Wasn't I just so cute?
I didn't get much knitting done, which is ok. I did cast on the Dream in Color but that is it. I have decided that I also need to make a felted bag. I love Maia's Big Bag pattern and have knit two of them and gave them both away. So, I think I will make myself one. Here is the yarn I have chosen for it. I will probably cast it on later today. It's going to be strange to knit with those larger needles again after sock knitting!!
Now I'm off to tackle laundry and some cleaning. Heading to the print shop later with Ryan and Mallory to finalize their wedding invitation. Just a little over 2 months to the big day. They are getting pretty excited!!
Until Next Time...

I love the chocolate fountain. But I am with Sumo. Chocolate is poison for me too! Not freindly for diabetics!
I can't wait to see what you knit up with that yarn.
OH wow - way to make me hungry first thing in the morning!
aww mom you were such a creepy baby!! haha i love it! so cute.
Chocolate fountains ...yummmmy
Sounds liek a good time.
Glad you are feeling better.
Ohhhhh - yum! I just ate a Three Muskateers bar, but I could still go for the chocolate fountain!
Yep --- you were a cute baby!
Yum, hard to go wrong with a chocolate fountain! The retreat sounds like a lot of fun.
The bag will be adorable - I love that color combo.
Cute baby picture!! We played that game once at a couples party - everybody guessed my dh right away but I stumped them. (my hair was red and in a black & white picture it looks brown so that confused everybody)
oooh, the chocolate fountain looks like fun! i'm so glad there's no chocolate in the house to tempt me right now. chocolate at 9:30pm is only useful for sumo wrestlers.
uh oh. i have chocolate chips.
How can I have known you for more than 25 years and never seen a baby picture of you??? (I'm trying really hard to see you in that photo. Or Kirstin or Aaron or Ryan. So far, no luck. But you were definitely cute!)
And now I'm in the mood for chocolate...
Mmm-chocolate! and you were really cute in that picture!
You certainly were a cutie! I could so go for that chocolate fountain and all the goodies that go with it. What doesn't taste good with chocolate? Yum :)
