Yes, I'm Still Here.....

I know some of you may be wondering. I do think this is the longest I've gone without a post. I blame it all on Uncle Sam! Each year my job at the tax office has looked a little different and I've worked a different amount of hours. This year I have been scheduled to work from 8 to 6 every day and we have been crazy busy. As Benjamin Franklin said : 'Certainty? In this world nothing is certain but death and taxes.' At least it keeps me out of trouble....

I have been getting up very early to make sure and get the dogs their morning walk around the back field. With the warm weather lately, it's almost been more of a swim in the back field!! It's nice to have a few days of sun and relative warmth. It would be easy to fool ourselves into thinking that Spring is around the corner... but it is only February 10th. There is more winter ahead.

I hope to post with more frequency once I get a routine established for these busy few months. This weekend I am planning an all day knit-a-thon on Saturday and so I hope I have something to show you soon. Until then, it is back to the world of 1040's; Schedule A's; 1099's etc..

Until Next Time.....

Oh boy, tax time! You are a good dog mom to get up extra early so the pups can still get their morning outing!! Enjoy your knitting saturday!

What a great picture. Thank goodness there are people like you to help take care of taxes. No one wants to do it, but thank goodness someone does -

FPS. Enough of that working-too-many-hours nonsense. I know your puppies miss you at home!

I am glad everything is ok! Oh, boy do I understand tax season! I have taxes out the you know what, with my oldest son, who just graduated from college in May & started his first full time job in his field, plus our stuff with income tax for two states (farm in Iowa), and our small business stuff, etc, I will be buried until April, unfortunately, so I understand your situation!

It was great to hear from you! You had tons of snow, so it has been warm there, too, Take care of yourself, your family, and your dogs!

Ahh - another person working with taxes. It's a kind of job security, don't you think? I have been working at this CPA firm for 27 yrs. I'm just glad all this overtime comes in the winter! Then I can play in the summer.

I hate this sloggy, slushy stuff - it's such a mess to walk the dog in as he needs a rub down with a towel when we get back. Either snow or melt - not this in between stuff.

Can't wait to see what you've been working on.

Good luck with your busy couple of months. I hate when work interfers with important things like knitting!
