I have been doing some more knitting. Here is my second Gelato bag. This is a quick, easy
pattern to knit up and I love how it turns out.
I used Knit Picks WOTA Heather and Malabrigo.
(And, yes, it needs a button!!)

On my needles now is this bag that I am trying for Kirstin. Here is a picture of it. It is called 'Kristin's Carry-All'. It is my first real attempt at Fair Isle knitting (knitting with two or more colors at one time). It is slow and go, but fun.

Here is what I have done so far... (remember I said it was slow and go.....) I am using yarn that Kirstin had left over from some afghans she wove a few years ago. If I 'pass' on my first attempt, I am going to order some fun yarn to do a second bag with.
I will keep you posted with progress.....
In the meantime, I have to decide what else to knit next. I have about a dozen projects I'd like to do. I have a pattern I am designing in my brain for a bag, so I may start a proto-type. But then there are the clogs I need to do. Oh, and I want to learn to knit socks on 2 circular needles. Another felted hat or bowl would be fun. Ok, I guess I have enough to keep me busy through the cold, winter months!!

Well, off to do a little baking and some knitting.
Until next time....

your bag turned out adorable. I looked at the carry all bag myself but alas I am to impatient to deal with the color work right now.. i love the colors you got going though. Wow you sound like you have a ton of projects on the needles.. hahahaha so do I!!!
Gorgeous bag, but then when do your bags not turn out gorgeous? =)
I have the pattern for Kristin's Carry-All and it simply terrifies me. I've never done Fair Isle so I'll definitely be watching you to see how it goes. *shudder*
Stay warm and have fun over there!
You are brave to try the Kristen's bag. I saw that and loved it but don't think I could do it! I love the colors in your felted bag - it really turned out cute.
The bag looks awesome! I plan on trying fair isle soon...but on something small like a sock or a mitten or hat first...
The bag looks great! (as always) I haven't attempted anything fair isle yet. You are brave - that bag looks like a lot of knitting!
Okay, I have GOT to start myself one of the Gelato bags.
Way to go on starting on Fair Isle. I bet you'll get lots of practice with that pattern! LOL!
What cute quirks your doggy has! :-)
Your bags are so nice!
Thanks for the link to the patterns, I want to knit more bags.
Right now, though, I feel like knitting on a throw I'm making, because it's cold, and snowy, and it's big enough now to cuddle with while I knit!
