Minneapolis
I in still in a state of shock over the bridge collapse in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Being born and raised there and with family and dear friends still living in that area, I have been glued to my TV/Internet and phone as I have watched the unbelievable. How does a bridge like that just collapse?? I can't wrap my mind around it. At this point my 4 brothers have all been heard from and they and their families were not in the area of the collapse. I will still be anxious for news today from friends and other family and will certainly be keeping all of those involved in the collapse and in the search and rescue in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you to all who have asked about my family.
I will post again soon.
Until Next Time

The bridge collapse is just unbelievable. So tragic and bizarre! I hadn't heard about it until early this morning when I was just trying to wake up and honestly my first thought was "Wow - this sounds like how Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince started, are wizards involved?" (I tell you - I was sleepy!) But honestly, it is so hard to imagine that it could just "happen".
I hope that everyone you know is alive and well. My thoughts and prayers are with those affected by this tragedy.
Take care,
Vickie
I only just heard about it on the news in the car. I didn't imagine anything as gruesome as that picture. I hope you family and friends are safe. What a terrible tragedy.
I was watching it last night also Janice. I was wondering about people that I know that live up there also. I am glad to hear that your family is all accounted for and okay.
It is just unbelievable! It will definitely change the way I feel when I travel across those long bridges, I was nervous before on the really long ones over the waterways. This just makes the fears a reality. We too are praying for everyone involved.
It's so unbelievably awful.
Glad to hear your family is ok!
Soooooo scary.
