DID SHE OR DIDN'T SHE?

Get her invite to Ravelry? Yes, I did!! After an over 2 month wait, I received the invitation to join Ravelry, which is an online community of knitters and crocheters. It is a way to see what everyone else is knitting, stashing (mostly stashing it seems!!) and to share patterns, tips and ideas. And so much more. I can tell already that I will have to be careful to not spend every waking minute on it.... (If you are on Ravelry, look me up. My username is Jarlady!!)

Cast on another M&M Cloth? No, I didn't. I resisted. (Only because I became obsessed with...)

Cast on a Chevron Scarf? Well, yes I did. After playing with several different yarn combinations, I settled on a combination of Socks That Rock in the Minestone colorway and Fiesta Boomerang in the Mochachino colorway. It is an interesting pattern. I think it will take a while to finish, but will be a fun project to have to pick up for a change of pace.

Get to watch the Vikings win 37-20 over the New York Jets last night?
Yes, again! And, I worked on my ATH Punzel socks during the game and then slipped the project into my new Vikings Sock bag that came in the mail Friday.

Spend most of the night trying to calm an anxious dog?
Bingo! We had storms go through most of the night and this causes extreme anxiety in Nikko. (Which also leads to anxiety induced diarrhea if you must know!! And yes, the carpet cleaners are now on speed dial!)

Anyways, after the last round of storms I took her to the vet who prescribed some anti-anxiety medicine. The pharmacist who filled the order said it was the first time she'd written 'as needed for storms'. I wish I could say that it helped. But all it did was make her a little unsteady on her feet. Bummer.

Until Next Time...

Yea for ravelry! It can be a major time-sucker, though. ; ) I love it though! Still don't have all my stuff up but I'm getting there.

I see we have both been bitten by the chevron sock bug!!

Glad your team won! My dh has been despairing over the Cubs. (he should be used to it by now)

Poor Nikko! Poor carpet!

I'm kseelass on Ravelry and now the fun starts. I've not had much time to spend putting in my stash but I did post one and found someone who made a bag from it and pdf'd me the pattern from a 2005 knitting calendar. I love the way it works. Doggie scripts are a hoot when you go to pick them up.

I love those purple socks and the chevron choices are perfect! I only have about 11,000 people ahead of me waiting to join ravelry so I won't be seeing you there any time soon!

I love those socks. I really am going to have to buy that colorway.
Your scarf is pretty. Poor Nikko, the goldens that live behind us go crazy during storms, poor things.

Congrats, Ravelry Lady!
I love the socks. Our school colors are purple and gold.

My poor dog could use some of those meds, thunderstorms scare her to death!
